You can drill holes in your rocks and use acrylic rods to enable you to stack higher without going too wide.I have a 60 gallon but I hate my current setup. I ordered 30 more lb of rock that should come next week. My problem is I have a 60 gallon tall so it is very thin, I have to figure out stacking the rock high without making it too wide. I have also been told to keep the rock away from my glass for better flow... so just setting up my rock has been a huge ordeal.
Is your overflow on the 65 offset to the corner? I'm jealous. My 65 has it right in the middle.Mine is currently down --- but should be back up in a couple of months --- close on the new place next week.
Here are a few from when it was set up. And a few from when I had my 58 set up -- same footprint, just not as tall.
