I have a 65-gallon (36x18x24in) that has been up for almost two years. I plan on having coral at some point but don't at the moment. Here's my current stocking:

- 2 Ocellaris clownfish
- 1 Azure damsel
- 1 Purple dottyback
- 6 Banggai cardinalfish

I'm thinking of adding a skunk cleaner shrimp and trying to acclimate some mollies to saltwater. I also really want to get a flame angel and possibly some Chromis. Considering I have a decent protein skimmer, does this sound like it would work, or is it a bit much?

Cleaner shrimp ✓
Flame dwarf angel ✓ (provided it's a fairly small one)
1-2x Chromis ✓

I was running 8-10 fish in my 25-gallon (which had a very high bio load), so I don't think 12-13 fish is out of the realm of possibility. Just make sure you stay on top of any testing for nitrate spikes.

I don't see a problem with your tank if you don't have any coral. I have two dwarf angels, a squirrelfish, a fairy wrasse, a chiseltooth wrasse, and an orchid dottyback in one of my RSM250s, and that with a number of softies and LPS. You can certainly take care of any excess nutrients with halymenia and a nice patch of xenia, which will utilize whatever your skimmer can't process.
