Hey ya’ll,

Thought you might appreciate a ~650 gallon bowfront Triton reef. Completely redid the filtration and went full Triton in July of 2016. It currently consumes 72mL of Core 7 daily.

Lighting: Orphek
Flow: MP60 x 4, Panta Rhei ECM 63

Yeah the stand is drywalled in and I have very little to do under the tank (access panel around the side in the hallway). Filtration room is remotely located about 30 feet from the aquarium by the garage.

What do you want to see? Livestock closeups, filtration, etc?

you should replace your stock tank member pick with your beautiful reef. Also tell us more about your tri
I'm a nerd... filtration. The guy that owns my LFS often accuses me of keeping fish and corals just to make sure my equipment is working!

Ha, that's hilarious

Stock tank member pic? That’s a different one I did. I’ll work on getting some more pics of this one. I have filtration from when it was first setup... and I’ll show you how it started

So when I was brought in this is the tank room I had to take down. Consultation the guy asked what I would charge to maintain his aquarium, I responded that I was afraid his house was going to burn down tomorrow.

We found cords actively smoldering, mold, decay, got shocked more times than I can count, and the cherry on top... mosquitos had bred inside the tank room and were voracious.

Beautiful. What are the dimensions of the tank? How many Orphek are you running?

Tank's dimensions are:

96x48x36 and was initially installed in September of 2011. My customer took over maintenance after our initial installation and I took back over in July of 2016. The tank was actually pretty beautiful and dosed with BRS 2 part and all the Red Sea Coral Energy supplements. Initial Triton testing showed high levels of Selenium, crazy high Calcium (doser issue), but everything else was in range.

He's got 12 Orphek fixtures over the tank currently.

So the pictures above resulted in 6 truck loads of random crap coming out of the tank room. I ripped out literally every piece of equipment, setup a temporary sump in his living room, and handed the room off to a contractor. It took a little over 2 months to get completely back in the room but the result:

-Floor completely redone and sealed
-Electrical completely redone with GFCI protection and the appropriate circuits
-Drywall completely ripped out and replaced with concrete board
-Walls painted with marine grade paint
-I didn't like the window unit AC and the return vent from the ceiling was cut off from the main house until he completes a future renovation turning the garage into a movie theater. We opted for a portable LG A/C unit that has worked great keeping the room climate controlled and dry.

With the coming filtration photos I also installed a brand new Aqualogic 1.5 HP outdoor chiller with a flow cutoff. It's controlled via the APEX and a hydroponic relay.
