Looking to upgrade my current 18' white/blue LED light, which does not fully cover the width of the 28 gal tank. I'm looking to upgrade the lights with a 24" LED unit, but not sure about going with 6500k (1200 lumen, more actinic than whites) versus 10k whites (3240 lumen, equal amount of actinic and whites). In the tank there is about 45% of rock, some soft corals and 3 rose anems. I personally like a 'bluer' color and not as much high white, but obviously want to have the necessary light for the corals. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

What Specific LED are you referencing...

It is unusual to find a cool white above 6.5K unless the provider Bins their spectrum's.

Also for the Royal Blues the 450nm give a huge actinic pop over the 465 Royal Blues

65k is probably fresh water. Btw cool white in most industries is any above 55k.
55k is sunlight
55k plus 450 or 465 will give you somewhere in the 10k range depending on intensity.
Paint mixing.
