My first setup was a big learning curve! I initially wanted to include a sump but didn’t have enough time on my hands; as I love to make everything lol.I came across a free 65g rimless tank that needed new silicone. After some hard work making a top and bottom cap, bit sleeker than the previous (other build). Cleaned and buffed the glass with cerium oxide. Trying to remove some weird stains. Being successful(some what) on one of the long faces leaving me baffled I couldn’t get the other side to show improvement, I gave up and decide that will be the back! Cleaned again tape and re- siliconed with GE -1. The stand was another story in itself. Used old metal L bed rails to make a top and bottom shelf and legs from old chain link fence posts, along with three cross braces. Lots of welding cursing and grinding quick paint job we have a stand! Now for the sump I used a 20g long tank I found local for cheap, cleaned taped and re-siliconed this one also( figured new seals all around why not). Had some plexy thick enough (or I thought) to baffle the small tank.

now as far as equipment goes I tried to budget build this tank so bare with me;

vipraspectra 165w led reef lights x2
hyger 200w titanium heater with Wi-Fi temp controller
CPR 800gph overflow box
Jebao 40 wave maker
1000gph return pump off Amazon had great reviews and it’s been silent from day one.
Huge bio block in refuge part of sump.
still figuring out skimmer as I cycled 2 weeks beneficial bacteria then added a pair of gladiator clowns to help the cycle out. Also ordered an oscillator to eliminate manual top off, at least on this tank. (The light in pictures is at 1% on both blues and whites). I’m open to all comments, critiques and helpful advice! Thanks for taking the time to read my rant!

Very innovative. Now you just need more fish! ;)
My plan is to move everything over from my 40g it was a rushed setup the seal isn’t looking healthy and over all its a small tank lol I have a few corals and a tomino tang a fire fish two emerald crabs and two shrimp I was mostly focusing on corals before stocking fish but will most likely end up with just the bigger tank soon
