I think you give them too much credit for taking a design.
What really happened was there was two industrial designers at neptune.
one night they one called the other to discuss plans.
these were there cell phones of course.
they couldnt think of anything, hours and hours of drafting.
finally peter said, he was going to listen to music.
alex said he was taking a car ride.
So they hung up and continued the night their separate ways.
Peter listening over and over again to “we built this city on rock and roll”
alex marveling over how only he has a car with a 90 degree angel back window.
it hit them both at the same time. Ah ha! Lets make it in the shape of a horse saddle, but silver plastic, with black and orange elements. Will pitch it as giddying up to the future.
