6line wrasse big belly !?!?

Hi,

i have noticed for the past 2-3 days, my 6 line wrasse belly is getting pretty huge... what could it be ??
he used to be slim... i don't see a change in behavior other than been less agile in water..

i just feed so he would swim around more.

Yes ^^^ diet and also... have you seen him poop recently? It could be as simple as being constipated. If he's eating well, you could feed him a peeled boiled pee to help move things along.

i feed various LRS food like Reef frenzy, Herbivore freenzy, fish frenzy. I also feed mysis shrimp and some times flakes and pellets.

i never saw him poop in 1.5 year... he might be a shy one He's going for food when i feed, no external sign. He just look fat and clumsy in the flow due to his belly... might try the pee trick! i kinda feel he's constipated, but could be something else.

Just keep a close eye on him and watch for him to poop. Definitely try the pea.

A pealed pea. I’ve heard some soak it in garlic guard or the like to entice fish to consume it.

the pea did not work, he ate it.. but nothing cameout..
he's now in QT, second prazipro treatment is done... nothing yet and he still has his big belly

What about Epsom salt? It's a diarrhetic. I've used it a few times for constipation and man... That'll clear a tank lol. I did it in my dt once like a year ago and almost instantly I watched fish, nems, and even some pallys poo simultaneously

i suspected that, but i dont feed him that much, specially in QT. belly has not shrimked so far. maybe living on his fat reserve!

Hopefully its not a problem. Very similar to my issue, it resolved itself
