From left to right.

original blue gig from Pete in 2013.

middle blue gig is Goliath from Pete. Was 24+” in his glory days. I got him about 12” in a decline.

right green is from Pete. He had it in a bin to send to trash about 8 years ago. Rehabbed and doing great. This is the one that looked super yellow, and had super long tents in its glory days.

If snow doesn’t shut me in tomorrow, they will all move to new tank tomorrow. Chemistry matches and ready for the final move tomorrow if all goes well.

In the last pic, the leather in front is ticked because I slammed paat it cleaning my glass lol. They call it leather for a reason... tough as leather, hard to kill lol.

Looks awesome. Do you plan to add any fish into the 210? Would look so cool to have a harem of clowns or even some domino damsels hosting those monsters.

Thanks. Yes, once they settle down I want fish again. I miss my tangs, but will add them slowly.

Who's pete? He must have a lot of nems.
He’s not in salt anymore. He got back into freshwater. Talked to him 6 months ago. He’s into exotic angelfish and rare betta, and a few other things. The stuff he’s got is really nice. He was a total addict with gigs and was always hunting for them, lucky for me, I got his collection when he got out of salt. I had 11 after he got out, but 11 is too many to take care of. Sold the collection down to 7 a few years ago.

Thanks! I’m looking forward to having fish again. Here’s a live shot from now. They’ve been alone a couple hours now. I’m not there anymore, but can check in with live video feed. I don’t know how to post live Arlo feed. If I did, I’d share.

any special reason why you chose to go BB ?

any special reason why you chose to go BB ?
I have buckets of sand I need to wash, and 2 new bags I’m planning to add. I want to season the sand and clean it before adding. Going to use the system they just came from to season the sand a month or two. I now have 2 systems independent, and plan to buy some fish soon, they will go into the 75/40 I just cleared, it’s an aged stable system now with aged rock I couldn’t fit in the 210. I want sand again, it looks nicer to me. Time my friend!

Here’s 24 hours after moving.

Indeed! And I hope your tank’s also doing well. Do you find anemones hard to keep?
Finding healthy anemone is challenging. Once they are established they are pretty easy if your tank is stable. General guideline is you should wait 6 months to add one to a reef, it’s as much for the reefer learning as it is to stabilize the tank.
