I have two mp40s on the 1" side of my acrylic tank. Just remove all spacers from the dry side, including the one mounted on the dryside and replace it with industrial strength double sided tape. Works like a charm. I did this on my mp60s too because having those things fall off is a pain in the a--.

Also, would have gone with a slightly bigger skimmer. I had a 300SSS on my 500 and was not happy with it so I upgraded to a SRO-6000EXT with 4 neck extensions.
