So I decided to start my 38g Signature Cadlight tank up and running once again. I will be taking pictures and frequently updating this thread as I reestablish the tank with livestock and corals. I went away with live rock this time around and decided to order a custom pillar structure as my main display piece from The Alternative Reef. Here is a list of the equipment that I will be using as part of my set up.

-38g Signature Cadlight AIO
-2 Kessil A150W Ocean Blue LED
-JBJ ATO system
-MP10

I also got back my frogspawn that my buddy was holding it for me.

Awesome man! Following along!

My pillar arrived today from Scott at The Alternative Reef. He is a sponsor here and he is great from start to finish. Very impressed with him and his customer service, I highly recommend him if you're interested in adding something other than live rock or want some sort of design in your tank. I also checked my parameters to see where I was at with my water quality.

Nitrates: 10
Phosphate: 0
Calcium: 360
KH: 9

Just wanted to give a quick update to my tank:
QUOTE]

Looking good but I do have a question : why such a thick sandbed ? At least that is what it looks like ... how deep is it actually ? IMO it may be too deep but not sure since I cannot gauge the thickness. If it is more than 1 inch what was the rationale for making it deeper if I may ask?
