Everything is growing well, including GHA and Aiptasia Especially GHA and Aiptasia ;Hilarious

I need a better algae eater for sure. My scopas tang doing virtually nothing to get this tank cleaner... Just like me )

Kalkwasser paste is the only viable option against THAT Aiptasia infestation level.

I'm trying to kill bigger ones periodically, so they don't bother corals so much. My five peppermint shrimps... never seen a single one of them approaching an anemone )

Great tank - congrats. I am looking for a similar sized peninsula for a while now but since I won't be able to DIY I need to buy one ready. Unfortunately, none of the known brands sell a similar size with matching cabinet, only very small ones or large ones. Do you have any recommendations?

I'm not familiar with US-based tank manufacturers, sorry Anyway, go for bigger one if possible, that's quite a small size for the fish.

Hello there

Current FTS looks just fine. Since I don't mind GHA and cyano, this is what I want to see. My skimmer is off for months, fuge is running for 3h per day, last water change was done... a half year ago? That's how I keep my nitrates at 5ppm, heavily overfeeding every single day

Current params:

• Alk: 10.9dkH
• Ca: 450ppm
• Mg: 1455ppm
• NO3: 5ppm
• PO4: 0.2ppm
• Salinity: 36ppt
• Ph: swings from 8.20 to 8.60
• Temp: 80-83F

That's why pH-probes should be frequently calibrated

After calibration, my pH reading dropped from 8.55 to 8.08 in a minute ;Shamefullyembarrased Weeeeell, it seems my pH is not affected by higher kH and open windows that much as I thought

Apparently, I totally lost the idea behind this rockscape. It's meant to be two separated, very notable mountains with lots of space in between.

That's implies a clear backgroud, no secondary rocks or "detached" corals. Something like this:

I've changed my T5 bulbs finally. That's the first time since the tank was started.

Here is two year difference in PAR, using Apogee MQ-510 (older one, with silver sensor):

Approximately, that's 30% difference between brand new and long used, covered with salt creep bulbs. I'd said, that's totally fine for LPS corals. There is no need to change bulbs much more often (like every six to eight month).

Here is a PAR meter I've used. BRS has mentioned, some of them are glitchy and read wrong. Have no idea if that's the case with this one.

Anyways, it does show the relative difference just fine.

Lowered my DIY 6 bulbs T5 fixture from 9" to 7" above water surface, achieving 30% more PAR:
