Love the tank! And the fact that it is repurposed is awesome. How bout some pictures of the filter set-up. Oh, is that one rock or glued pieces?

Now that is cool! Did the tank builder have to do a lot to the acrylic in order to make it suitable for a reef tank? I don't know anything about acrylic but I would assume that some are more clear than others, just like glass.

Do you have any pics of the back of the tank?

Pretty cool!!!! It's not so much bullet proof but then again it is... They consider 1-1/2" acrylic bullet proof which it is to a extent for smaller hand guns etc.. Real Bullet proof glass has very poor optical clarity and is actually a mix of polycarbonate "lexan" and acrylic laminated together... Just built a bullet proof case last week to house a million smackaroos at a casino out in Cali lol.... Very cool none the less...;) I bet that's one heavy cube lol lol

This system is being skimmed with a DELTEC AP701 my girlfriend calls it the bazooka!..LOL The sump is just a heavy duty black storage bin I purchased from Home Depot..cheaper than a custom acrylic or glass tank....efficient and works great. The rock is a single hefty 40+ lb rock I purchased at my LFS from a previous tank breakdown they had done. I really like the fact that it is just one single structure and not a lot of small pieces.

The tank was made by Naga..Hes up in the Maryland area. Dont think he had to do too much with the acrylic but a lot of buffing. Its def very clear! Here is a pic from the back.

I remember that tank...............Love it! Not much work had to be done to it to make it look good. I still have a lot of bank material left and continue to make some very cool tanks with it.

As far as the "bullet proof" comment the term the mfg.s like to use is "bullet resistent". That starts at 1.25" and goes up from there at different ratings of bullet resistence. The stuff at banks mostly is 1.25".

wow talk about being eco-friendly. this has that cool factor lol would have been cool to make a rock like a dollar sign

This rimless aquarium has been approved for not needing a brace by.... me
Which doesn't mean anything, but I LIKE IT!

definitely solid as a rock and eco- friendly! And no absolutely no need for euro bracing or a center brace..thats the beauty of it!! Great job Naga!
