i am 71 days into my fallow period. the only survivor was a marine betta that has been in QT the whole time. doing well and eating. Kept copper at 1.50 until 12/25 when i raised it to 2.0 ppm. just noticed that his left pectoral fin is torn and looks opaque. i think i should dose broad spectrum antibiotic before i put him back in DT. he is also in with a pair of long nose hawks that started the QT process about 30 days ago. never seen them pick on him, but i suppose its possible. Hawks look good.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Brad

If you see signs of infection then treat but if not, then I would let nature take its course.

They should be done with the copper soon though...no?

It looks ok, so i may just let it ride. Yes, doing 50% water change tomorrow and moving them back to the DT on Sunday. Thanks for the reply!
