Does anyone have plans or pictures of a 72 bow front stand that they built? I have the stock stand it came with but the top and bottom pieces are two sections held together with a brace and its your typical pet store aquarium stand so if I can build one inexpensive I will. If you have built one for a 72 bow what did it cost in materials ?

If it's cost prohibitive I would at least like to replace the top piece with a single piece of wood. What type of wood is best and will be water proof. The current stand has some slight bubbling from water absorption. I would like it to be black as well. What is the best paint or stain or whatever that will be waterproof.

Also what is the best way to cutout the bow shape?

Included are pictures of the current stand and tank.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated

What did you use to cut it a router or a jigsaw?
