Im looking for some advise on a 6 ft light fixture for my 125 gallon tank.. I currently have 2 current usa nova T5 36"inch.. But I'm looking to upgrade to something stronger. Any suggestions.?

How many bulbs are on the T5 set up now?

If 6 or more, remove two bulbs and retro in rotal blues

I use a Sunlight Supply Maristar fixture over my 125, it has 3 250W MH and 4 39W T5's. I love the growth and color this fixture provides!

I believe the Maristars are discontinued now, but you can find them used or there are other fixtures out there. Just have to google what your looking for.

Me personally.....? I started my tank on LED's and didn't feel that the type that I had was adequate at giving me the best coral color and growth I was looking for. I have 95% sps. My led's though were not dimmable and I shouldn't have wasted my money. MH or T5's or both are proven to give amazing results. I would like to see a tank started from scratch with only led's and produce the results that MH or T5's can on SPS. That is why I switched to the tried and true MH's. I would like to throw a few LED's on the tank just for that pop and wow factor that LED's do. But... These are just my opinions and you should do your research to what you want out of your lighting and the cost involved with running MH/T5's and the heat possibility or the initial cost of getting into the right LED's.

Yeah i have that same problem. I don't know if LEDs will give me the brightness that I'm looking for.. I may go with a different set of 36 inch fixtures.. Im not sure were to start looking.. My current USAs are good but i just want a lil more power..
