72G fish ideas??

Liveaquaria is pretty good at listing correct tank sizes. This forum is also a great place for info. The people here are very kind and knowledgeable.

That just let's you know who is making an attempt at being honest (LA is the only one that makes a real attempt at giving an accurate tank size to house fish long term). If memory serves me correctly the Raccoon Butterfly (gets 9-10 inches and is recommended for a minimum of a 125 after it gets larger and reaches 9-10 inches in length). I would remove the Raccoon and replace it with a Kole Tang. It is better suited to that size tank and will max out around 7-8 inches. The Chocolate Tang gets 10 inches and is definitely too big for that tank.

I wouldn’t use that website for any tank size recommendations that humu gets a foot long.

No kidding. 50 gallons for a Triggerfish? Even A Blue Throat (9 inches max) needs a minimum of 125 gallons to be happy long term.

OP is looking for a "show" fish, like a tang, angel, butterfly, trigger... The tank isn't big enough for most of those, unfortunately.

I actually wouldn't recommend a kole, or any of its cousins for a 72 bowfront. A standard 75 is okay, imo, but a 72 bowfront isn't as good of an option. It's more like a 55 gallon, but taller and bowed out in the very front.

I just realized we got to a second page so gotta catch on on reply’s

I have a 55 as well but it’s fresh water and it is much smaller

Yes ik that 50 would be a tiny tank for a trigger but if they said 50 I figured I could get away with a 72 but that’s ok. Thx

Also the flame hawk fish but I don’t think I can put them with my shrimp
