72x30x18 DIY build thread

I use a Oxydator A with 3 catalyst and 12% to my 80 Gallon tank. However - this tank have been run with an oxidator for 6 years and I run it rather hard. Normal may be 12 % and 1 or 2 catalyst. In this case - I need to replace the solution every 10 - 15 day. With 3 catalyst and 12 % - every 5-8 day. In your case - 3 Oxydator A or one oxydator W would probably do the work

Sincerely Lasse

Thanks lasse

Hard to find the size W. Hopeful that shrimp tank.com reaches back out

I think we are moving in the right direction. Alk is being consumed again, i dont see visible dinos anymore again...

Steve-o-pora tissue has covered the cuts made below the dead. (excited about that)

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.... we dont have plans to leave for a week again right after getting rid of dinos :D

a christmas miracle

Found these to go from airline to rodi line, thoughts?

Just run airline tubing? Might be easier tbh

For dosing @StatelineReefer

Need to order more tubing so i can make better managed runs. When @Projects with Sam helps with cable management project

These are decent dosing line holders. May be as easy as adding an 8020 T-nut on the back So you can twist it in.

I like v5, I was planning to use the cable management clips to run the lines and have them go into a holder in the sump below.

I currently have this in the cart on amazon. Idk if a 3d printed version would be less/same this seems pretty cost effective.

From sump to tank and back down this is my start I think

Will it have enough head pressure to get to the tank?

Might cover it. I'd go bigger, but that is me, not really a recommendation. what are you looking for in terms of turnover?
I think low and slow is ok, for a macro algae tank. Need more fish before i start her up but i am bored and trying to make an actual list of plumbing parts.

Thinking about starting with hard plumbing and leaving it at a barb and doing soft from there. Idc too much about where the water goes mechanically from the refugium display. as long as it has some turn over :)

Its a 12 gallon tank, will be plumbing into the main system thats ~250

Just looked at the spec sheet and it would seem that at 30 inches up you would be about half the max flow. Not sure what you lose through corners and lateral distance but you should have 1 or 2x per hour (of course I'm making those estimates up) with the .5. the 1 gets you almost double that. But 12 gallon display fuge probably doesn't need a lot.

the mr aqua long is 36 inches . Might do the 1 per your recco

What's the price difference? At the end of the day, if it's too much, you can always adjust the flow. I got the 5 for my 120 planning to turn it down if I need to for a target 4x turnover.

sicce 1 is 47 and the 1.5 is 59

im trying to figure out durso,

Considering what others have done with the mr aqua 12 gallon. It looks like i drill 1 hole do a durso drain, and then drill another hole as an emergency.

return is a single hole

I have a STL for dosing holders I've been dying to try out... maybe I make you my beta tester.
