Mg 1500+, wondering if that much calcium affects others. Alk stayed the same didn't test mag.


Calcium.... 328 eek, happy to report a 3 day boost. Back on the saddle.

Combination of water changes and 2 part dosing.

Very weird.... Never thought I would put too much flow on an acro. Perhaps its the wrong kind of flow? But I picked up a used MP60 a couple of weeks ago.


This is stress only on side directly infront of the MP60 , on 3 different acros. (including Steveopora, which i thought was indestructible)

Circling how far away these are... 6 ft tank.

It could be due to direct flow rather than too much flow? From my understanding most Acros LOVE flow unless it's ripping the flesh off.

Right, I think its direct flow. How to randomize the mp60 then.

Lending more to the story....

Recently turned off the 5 min 100% clean out. After the skin was clearly blown off the acro.

Either going to leave the position and let the corals grow around the flow or move the MP60 to not be direct.

Thinking on it. Id rather leave it.

Can you move the head so it angles the flow and bounces it off another pane of glass or maybe alter the intensity? I don't know mp powerheads tbh.

Where did you add bracing? Was alot of bracing needed? How is the tank doing today? Any leaks since the build?

Sorry for the questions, I'm thinking of doing something similar and you seem to be the perfect person who's brain to pick about this.
