I currently have a 60" ATI Sunpower with XHO reefbrites from a prior tank. They put out a lot of PAR, but I'm not sure what I feel about putting a 60" fixture over a 72" tank. Will this be an issue? Does anyone have suggestions for a T5/LED hybrid that fits the tank?

If your getting a ton of par out then that is totally fine. If you want a converging light spectrum with zero shadowing, then I would consider extending your lighting coverage.

It’s pretty common to run 60” t5 on a 72” tank. So you won’t have any issues there. And should be fine width wise as well assuming it’s a 8 bulb

It's the 8x80w unit flanked by 2 reefbrite led's on both sides. How high would my unit have to be for good coverage without sacrificing too much PAR?

You can always put a 24” Orphek or reef brite strip on each end to even out the parts missing laterally. I’ve considered doing that with my tank as my lights are 48” over a 60” tank, but I don’t because they’d just be blasting light on my gyres at the ends of the tank

If you were happy with the park before I would hang it the same height maybe 2-4” higher if you felt you wanted more coverage

I have a 72x30x24 225 gal tank. I use a Aquatic Life 61" Hybrid with 4...and now...5 Radion XR15 G5 Blues. With the 4 XR15's I was getting 200 par on the bottom with the T5's on and my Radions at 50 percent running the AB+ spectrum. With 5 its seems to be a little more complicated, not sure why.

Totally fine. A 60" T5 unit will cover a 6' tank no problem.

The longest t5 bulbs are 60", so you would have to run two 3' fixtures if you wanted end-to-end T5. But there is no need.

Based on the advice here, I'll string up my ATI Sunpower 8 bulb unit that has the 2 reebrite LED attachments. I'll get some PAR readings when the tank is setup and go from there.

If your scape does not have a bunch of stuff on the ends, then the missing 6 inches is no big deal. If you want to do rocks on the side glass end-to-end, then you might get really discouraged with the stuff near the glass not getting enough light.
