73?degree tank is that ok

As the tittle states my tank temp is 73 everything is alive and well just wondering about the winter months.
Is that to low?

I would agree that that is a little on the low side. Try and get it up to 75.

WOW, even with teh LED's on mine, I still have to run teh chiller at 78.5. we keep the house at 74, so ill assume this is because of my garage sump. that said, 73 is a bit low in my opinion.

The Aquatic Critter runs the whole store @ 74 degrees. The reason being that colder water helps keep disease at bay better FYI.

Liveaquaria recommends at least 72 on most of the livestock. I run mine 78-82.

I would suggest purchasing a heater first. The local fish store most likely keeps the fish at 78+ and the 5 degree temp down will stress the fish.

I keep mine around 78 at all times. We keep our house between 66-68 all year long. I find the fish don't tolerate water that cold. Lost a mandarin years ago around 72.
