Here's some pics of my tank after I drilled it, built stand, and got it set up and running.

Equip.
75gal marineland tank
ruby 36 sump
mag 18
reef octopus 150int classic
1500gph glass holes overflow kit w/2 returns
2 brs dosing cal/alk
brs 150gph RODI system
2 taotronics lights (chinese w/ timers)

Might be forgetting some stuff but tank has been up a month and everything is doing GREAT! Never seen polyp extension like this before (in my own tank) converting to sump. Extremely pleased and glad I did it and got it over with.... Using reef crystals and doing weekly water changes.

Planned on closing it off. But haven't gotten around to it, and with it being a month and having it like this I may just paint it. I love how accessible everything is. Just makes things easy, and I don't mind it like this.

Ideally if I would've planned for open stand I should've painted before I set it all up. But I was kinda rushed had everything in brutes & 10 gal tank for 3 days while drilled & plumbed it, so was kinda rushed.

Nice slice of ocean you have! We skinned our stand and had doors off for almost a year. When we put doors on we still have a 5' open span. With it closed off I do less maintenance below.

Good looking setup. How do you feel about the quality of the ruby sump? I have been considering one.

I would prolly go with the emerald series instead of the ruby series just because there bigger. But originally I was gonna put it in my other stand and the ruby series was perfect for that, but it's a great sump. I didn't use the bulk heads that came with because the glass holes overflow uses 1.5in drains and bulk heads are 1in. Didn't want to restrict any flow so did it that way but u love the sump.

Only thing I don't like about the setup is the skimmer being noises, without the skimmer my setup is super quiet. But ite bare able. Plus by sound I can hear if something doesn't sound right...

Give me a min and ill post some pics, I just took some pics after cleaning. Cleaned the hell outta the glass today and diff sponges and what not. Still kinda funky looking but it'll all be cleaned up tonight.
