Got the stand sanded and varnished still got a little more work on the inside before I paint that with the mildew resistant paint. Then build the sump. Buff the scratches out of the display tank and then plumb it.

Second tank I started off with a fluvel 13.5 gal. Should have started off with the 75. But better late than never.

Any thoughts on how you will light this tank? I'm also considering a 75 gallon.

Keep the TEK 6 bulb... it is better for acros than any LED on the market. Replace the bulbs. Put a 6500k in there and a True Actinic and then choose the others to meet your visual needs.

Is the tank an old Oceanic like the stand? Does it have the huge glass brace in the middle?

i have to get another 75 gallon tank couldn’t get the scratches off the front glass they were to deep.

That sucks I got a Lee Mar drilled 90g a while back. Got it home and found a large chip in a corner seam. Totally killed it for me, sold it at a huge $$ loss and decided that was not the time to setup another reef tank. Now I have a new Marineland 75g.

Fill it up with water. All used tanks have scratches that look bad when dry and you cannot even see them when they are full. However, some are still scratched pretty bad when they are full, as well. It is worth a try.

I’ll fill it up with water and check it out. It would save a lot of money if the scratches aren’t to noticeable.
