75 gallon cycle yellow spots on shell rock.

Here's where I am at.

75 gallon tank running sun sun 304B canister filter and 6 days into cycle. I added 80lbs live sand and 35 lbs live rock from local fish store and 40 pounds of shell rock. I noticed these yellow spots on the shell rock a few days ago. Kept an eye on it and they are surely growing and spreading. I have no idea what they exactly are and I am curious to see what y'all think. On that note I don't care about your opinions on canisters and really don't feel like wasting my time scrolling through the BS. I am here asking a serious direct question so please only knowledgeable responses.

Yellow sponges possibly. Harmless filter feeder if they are.

That's what I was thinking but wouldn't it be really early in the aquarium stage especially with it developing on the shell rock and not so much on the live rock. Or am I over thinking it?

Not necessarily. If your water quality is good, and you didn't have much die off on your live rock, it's entirely possible
