75 gallon reef ready tank.

Built stand from 2 x 4 and decking is 1/8 plywood.

Sump is 20 gallon DIY.

Protein skimmer I know is not a good one but it's what I got for free.

45lbs dry rock adding more. Thinking of another 40 - 50lbs

Still need to add bulkhead fittings and plumb over flow and return.

2 Hydor wave maker power heads.

Thinking of using 10 gallon tank for ATO.

May make a canopy have not decided.

hello, first of all, what do you want to put in the aquarium?
because everything depends on this question.
DSB going to do or Berlin?
SPS corals, LPS or soft?
After you decide on everything (skimmers, lighting, etc.)
however, in my opinion, you will need in the future:
- Change the skimmer (what I think is the Wave that is not performing to the size of that aquarium);
- I would put other rocks (live high quality and not those that have died).

Nice! I'm working on my own 75g tank as well. I like the profile of those lights... can you tell me what they are?

Had that same skimmer on my 75 had to upgrade witch gave me a skimmer that was not being used so I just had to do a 40 seahorse tank [or that's what I told my wife lol] good skimmer does the job but 75 gal is just to much upgrade as soon as you can

And on the rock don't go too much I had 90 in my 75 and there was not much room for anything else especially fish to swim so now I've got about maybe 50 pounds in it

I would love to get a reef octopus. Maybe in a few months. Im thinking I need to either break up those big pieces I got or just try and get a few more pounds of smaller pieces. I would really like to mount some on the back wall for height and depth to the aqua scape. I dont like the layout right now!

I have gone with the dry live rock to prevent any pest. I have plenty of time to let this rock mature. As to the light this is a planted plus light. Is used in planted tanks. The only light I have for now till I upgrade to some kessel leds. If only I had some more of that green stuff!!!!

Im gonna try to just stick with soft corals low light. Fish will just have to see.

It a nice start, and from what I am reading you have a plan:)

been working on myself for 3 days now it's overlooked the mass but that's my new Reef Octopus skimmer where I had their coral reef skimmer like you got

That's exactly what I was looking at. How long has your DT been running now. Looks good. What lights do you currently run? I couldnt do 2 tanks. Both look good.

So my system has been up for two yrs. Finally finished the stand and have started using ATI essential two part! Check out the EKoral controller give away!
