I'm getting a 75 gallon tank together, and looking to put these in the tank.

Mixed reef in the future.

Coral Beauty
Flame Angel
Fox Face
Black Ice Ocellaris pair
Reef safe Wrasse
Royal Gramma Basslet
Reef Chromis
Shrimp Goby pairing
Fire Shrimp

I know there's a rush of two dwarf angels in a small tank. Will likely choose just one...

Can I run two pairs of clown species? I know to avoid maroon, tomato, and other dark clowns. I hear they are quite aggressive.

Opinions on the list? Suggestions to change our add?

Any I should put in first or last?

Thank you! Such a helpful forum!!

Welcome to R2R!

Dwarf angels usually don't do very well in a new tank. They need an algae film for browsing. Otherwise they endlessly hunt and peck constantly on rocks without benefit.

Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse is a nice addition to a reef tank.

Start a build thread in the "members tanks" area. Post lots of pics! :)

I have a 75g tank and couldn't imagine having 2 pair of clowns. There's just not enough room. Clowns are quite aggressive... get ready to be bitten every time you put your hand in the tank, lol.

Yup, even the so called peaceful clowns are all semi-aggressive/territorial to some degree once established. Definitely only one pair and as mentioned once they are established be prepared to be bitten.

As for dwarf angels I would definitely stick to one. Some have had success in a 75 with a couple of dwarfs but it's generally best practice not to double down on dwarfs unless you have a 6 foot long or longer tank. Just me but I feel that the Coral Beauty tends to be less aggressive than the Flame Angel.

A Foxface is pushing it, but a One Spot could work (I don't recommend any of the others as they get too big). I have one in my 90 gallon and it's a great fish.

As mentioned don't overlook the generally peaceful wrasses as there are quite a few that would work well in a 75 gallon tank.

I’d get no angels, more wrasses. White bristletooth tang instead of fox face.

My wife is set on the Coral Beauty. So it's staying for sure...:D
Also, definitely was going to go with the One Spot Fox Face. Should have clarified.

Now the question of which to start with. I'm thinking the Goby and maybe Basslet....

I'll get pics up once there's something substantial to look at. Currently just an empty 75

You might want to mention the pricetag on the White Tail though. Not saying it isn't a good recommendation, I just generally put the pricetag/availability warning on them first. A One Spot generally runs around $40-$45 and is readily available from one source or another and the White Tail runs $200-$250 and is hit and miss for being in stock anywhere as they are more rare.

I currently have a potters and Multibar in my 75g I have also had coral beauty and flame when I first set up, you might feel like you want to see them together but one of either will make you tank look nice

If you try it make sure they are small and they both at the same time this can help

Also another thing that keeps aggression in my 75g tank is the hiding places I have lots of LR so I have lots of places for them to hide

Tomini would be another option. I have a coral beauty in our acropora dominant tank; it has been in the tank 2.5 years now (was the first fish added I think). I've never seen it pick at the corals but our yellow tang does quite a bit (doesnt damage them). Your proposed stock list is pretty similar to mine.
