No. It can be resealed for cheap. Use aquarium silicone. Completely remove all around the leak, and reseal. Youtube has many vids.So I have to completely get rid of the tank
This is good advice!I think what might be happening, if that is the case with the bubbler, is that a small amount of water is making its way over the top of the glass, between the glass and the plastic trim. Manufacturers do not completely seal the black trim to the glass, and that looks like what has happened in that corner. The outside seam looks good in the pic, I don’t see any signs of seam separation. Try moving the bubbler and filling back up, realistically your high water mark should only be about a 1/4”, 6mm, above the bottom of the black plastic trim. See if it leaks any more after moving the bubbler.
Post good pictures of it so we can see.the wood for the tank stand has gotten somewhat warped any idea how to fix that or should it just be left alone
That is the reason I dislike pressboard stands…unfortunately on that, I’d say go ahead and plan on replacing it sooner than later, as in, before you get your tank fully stocked. That is now compromised, and while it could hold for several years, I personally would not/ do not trust it.Here’s the wood you can see it’s splitting
As long as you get it dry and no additional water get on it this will not cause a problem. The only issue will be the appearance. Here’s the wood you can see it’s splitting
you said you bought the tank new a week ago. there is no way that happened in a week. Here’s the wood you can see it’s splitting
