Just got into the hobby few months ago... finally bought my 2 tanks a 75 gallon and a 30 gallon sump. Also some other items.

I’m currently focused on building the Marco rock aquascape, I’m trying to achieve an NSA arch in the center as main display kinda.

I haven’t set up tank yet because we moving on Nov 17, then I will begin the cycle process but now I’m building rock. I’ve been doing some research the past month or 2 mainly podcast since I can listen to them while I work all day. 6 days a week.

I’m glad to be here, I’ll let y’all know if I need some help with anything. If y’all have any suggestions please lmk...

Following. Have a 75 as well. Look forward to lots of pics!

Cool, are you going to drill the top tank for sump or does it have holes?

We thought about gluing our rocks a few times, but after a few incidents caused us to have to remove rocks for access we are very glad we did not glue them.

Sorry for no update and only 1 picture. Been busy moving, just now starting to catch a break plus work lol
Picture is of what I’m thinking of going with.
The table I’m building on is the same size as my tank which gives me a reference point. I’ve been measuring the height as I build.

I will definitely keep updating as I go, and post many more picturesjust been busy lately. I plan on only having a few inverts with maybe a few fish that help with cleaning the tank but my main focus is coral. As soon as I lie my eyes on this hobby my attention went straight to the corals instead of fish.

I plan on setting the tank up after Christmas and the New Years as the holidays are always busy for me so we will both be looking forward to that. Let me know if ya have any questions or concerns. I’m always open for ideas or any tips y’all have plz and thx
HAPPY REEFING

Looking good! Suggest you leave a few inches on every side of the scape to be able to clean easily. Cant wait to see it filled with water

How high is the arch you have in your first post? I only ask because you don't want to go too high or the corals you place on the top will run out of vertical space and start growing out of the water a little. Just a heads up.

+1 on height concern. I have a xenia that I set my water change level by, so keep in mind you may want to pull 10 to 20% of the water out on occasion.

Alright, we got it up and running few weeks ago, full diy budget setup. Sourced everything and put it together. Heard that this could be a bad way to go. But it was MUCH cheaper than any red sea or water box etc. that’s the same size.

Sorry for no updates the whole year of 2022. It was a rough year, had to put my project on the back burner. Set it up in the beginning of April 2023. Got my fish, little more than 2 weeks ago. Qt them, no signs of anything except for flukes. Treated for them. Ready to put them into display today actually.

Been meaning to update build thread, was gonna do it soon. But with the update build thread contest going on figured I’d do it today. Will post some pics and a video of build. Lmk if you have any questions or comments lol. Everything is much appreciated.
