I currently have a 75 gallon tank with 2 clowns 2 tangs and live rock. I plan on adding some corals and a few more fish to it. My question would be is my tank large enough to keep those two clowns and two tangs and also add a yellowtail damsel, a purple firefish/dartfish and a fire dwarf Angel. I know it’s possible that the fire Angel could nip at corals or be a little aggressive towards other fish which is why I would add that last. I’m just wondering if my tank can hold all these fish comfortably with some corals. Thanks

You could probably double that tbh. My friend has a 40 gal mixed reef and has 4 wrasse, 2 tangs, I think an angel and a mandarin and two breeding clowns that are massive. Personally I keep quite a few tangs in my 125 display but I think with enough rock work you can really add a whole bunch of fish in there. But that should be totally fine. I’d also think about nutrient export too many fish with just a skimmer may cause some algae issues. Those should die back with time but adding them all in at once could cause a big ammoni/nitrite/nitrate spike which isn’t good either, ie nutrient export. I personally haven’t had that problem and I added about 8 tangs in a week however dump some Dr Tims or MB-7 in there and all should be good.

Ideally you would have added the tang/tangs last, actually.

As far as bioload, the tank won't notice a damsel or dartfish or probably even the dwarf angel.

I planned on adding one fish at a time like every couple weeks to give them plenty of time to acclimate to their new surroundings. I don’t have a protein skimmer I run a cascade elite canister filter. I’ll attach a pic of the tank.

Personally never use a canister filter but sounds good also :) looks good so far!! Blue tang and yellow looking sweet!! Keep us posted!! I’m trying to add a small shoal of fish after my tangs have settled in to force them to school out of fear. Kinda wrong but I’m not sure if it’ll work but. Yeah looks good so far :P
