Im thinking of picking up a 75 gallon acrylic pentagon tank from a friend to set up as a mixed reef

Its ruffly 24x24x30" high and has a canopy on so Im limited for lighting.

I was thinking of looking for one black box but not sure it will get the coverage at the 30" depth even thought eh light would be basically on top of the water due to the canopy

Then I thought something like a 6bulb t-5, as I want to be able to put what ever in the tank coral wise and I want the look of a nice tank and I feel lights are the key to that

Then there is always a single MH but being acrylic and a canopy that isnt a good mix

So would a 6 bulb t-5 be my best option to get full coverage and coral growth

Next is going to be a sump, I'm thinking I will have to build one out of a 20 gallon tank again due to the limits inside the stand.

The whole reason I'm thinking of this tank is we re-did our living room and I have a spot for a tank like this and it would fit perfect in the lay out of the room where a regular style tank doesnt

The black box will do just fine in there. They are very powerful.
