Restocking my tank because I lost all fish to velvet. What I got so far (in QT)
- Blue cole eye tank
- 1 percula clown
- 1 ocellaris clownfish
- Coral Beauty

I'm open to all suggestion reef safe. I'm thinking maybe some more wrasses, gobys, a blenny!

I'd first get your tank through fallow, finish QT with your existing fish then look at some new fish. Without knowing what size your tank is and what the previous reef inhabitants were it's hard to be specific.

Oh yeah for sure. In no way am I trying to rush anything. I wasn’t even going to get these fish for a few months anyway. I’m just bored but I do have fish in QT and probably can’t add more to the QT right now. It works out tho because by the time the fish in QT are done the tank would have been fallow for 100 days

Leopard wrasse (pick one)
Radiant, melanurus, or yellow coris wrasse
Yellowhead Jawfish
Royal gramma
Springer damsel
Tailspot blenny
Shrimp goby (pick one)

In my 75:
1 2-spot bristletooth tang
1 one-spot foxface
1 diamond goby
1 forktail fang blenny
1 Lyretail anthias
1 sixline wrasse
2 black clownfish

All my fish have a job…except maybe the blenny and clowns, which add color and movement.

Flame hawkfish!!!! Or any hawkfish. I love em. They can be jerks to shrimp and the like though. More than make up for it in personality.
Yes they are probably the best fish if you want “personality” but can also be an butt to invertebrates and shrimp. I just added snails last night and had to chase the Hawkfish away from them for over two hours. Then around 9-10 last night he knocked off the two turbos off the rocks and were pecking at them.

I would have rather had a few shrimp than that dang fish.

I got talked into getting him from the kids and wife.
