I am newer to this board and thought I should share my recent reef journey. I hope everyone will be patient with me and my photo skills. My tank is a 75 gallon. It has been running in one form or another for about 3 years. Before that it was running as a 29 ,20 and 10 gallon tank before pico was really a term or cool. Anyhow I started having problems with my parameters getting out of wack. I couldn't seem to get things to level out. My dosing didn't seem to keep things level and everything kept swinging one way and then to the other. Then everything crashed. I moved all of my coral down to my 90 gallon frag tank and called my buddy. We had been talking about redoing my whole setup and this forced the issue. We decided to start in a few days and this is what turned out. The worst part of the story is that I lost all of my Acro colonies. Then again I now get to buy exactly what I want and I have learned to be very picky. lol. We planned out a 29 gallon sump system with a seperate 10 gallon refugium. It has a recirculating octopus skimmer and a quite one 4000 pump. Heres the pics.

Wow that thing is built like a tank. You shouldn't have a problem with it sagging. In my experience make sure and prime the wood before you paint and use a high quality exterior paint. The better the paint you use the longer the stand will last. Keep the pics coming looking good so far.

yeah, we wanted built beyond tough. My buddy took most of these pics and we built the stand. He is a professional painter and on top of his game. he used kryptonite proof primer and paint on it. we actually built it in his shop and sprayed it in his booth. I've got the best freinds in the world. Heres some more of the pics.

The last pics were of the hood. It has sliding doors that are totally removable. Boy is it nice for working in the tank. As an added bonus you dont hit your head on them when they are open. It seems like with my old hood I would be bending over and when I stood up, blammo. lol. Man that hurts. Heres some pics of it mocked up on the stand.

Thanks, My previos stand was one of thos all glass pine jobs. Piece of crap. There has been two in my town that came apart with a full tank on top of them. It would creak and moan all of the time causing many sleepless nights. This one didnt creak or moan or budge when being filled. lol. as far as the shop and paint booth, I have the coolest freinds in the world. If it needs done they can do it. heres some more pics showing the side cabinet.
