I currently have a 75 gallon reef tank with 6 fish the biggest of which is a flaming angel. I have been using a Fluval 306 canister filtration and a reef octopus 90 hob protein skimmer
however it is just not cutting it anymore. I have around 120 lbs of live rock currently in the tank. With some star polyps and Atlantic anemone. I am wondering what is recommended for an upgraded canister filter (include your media configuration) as well as a HOB overflow setup.

I have a aquatop 500 with uv sterilizer but have you considered a refugium ?

Just wondering doesn't the uv kill all bacteria beneficial and non-beneficial ?

It can be a good tool against tank-wide illnesses and parasites, and may help you get a handle on an algae problem but I wouldn't use it all the time just as needed. Just curious you state that what you currently have isn't cutting it ...In what way ? . Also a refugium may be your best bet

refugium without any questions is what you want, your system will run so much better then that canister

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
