Hi All,
I'm considering a new 75 gallon tank (currently have an old Red Sea Max 75 gallon, but would like to upgrade so I can add a real sump, better skimmer, algae scrubber, LED lights, etc.). I may get a reef ready one from a LFS. I think he carries Aqueon, or maybe Marineland? Anyway, I'm trying to stick to a budget, but would it be a terrible decision to get one of these tanks? Do you have some suggestions for tanks that have good glass quality that wouldn't be more or much more than the ones he's offering (which I think are entry level)? Thank you,
--Kyle

Unless you can find something used in the same price range those are pretty much your options.

A lot of people run standard Aqueon or Marinelands on here and love them.

Really depends your preference. For me, I would have nothing less than the low iron , ultra clear type glass if it’s going in my living as a show piece.

Got a Walmart 10g QT tank in the garage.

How much is he charging for the tank, stand, sump and plumbing?

His quote is (minus 10% on all of these):
$280 - 75g reef ready aquarium (so actually $252)
$300 - Poplar stand (made by a local cabinet company)
$200 - Poplar canopy (looks like a cabinet above the tank)
$175 - 40g sump with baffles installed and 2 filter socks (not sure exactly what I should be looking for here - my tank has the back panel; not a regular sump)
$100 - for all the pipes and plumbing
$230 - Skimmer / skimmer pump (need recommendations here - might get this on my own)
$150 - to deliver and install (if I choose to go that route)
And I'm looking at possibly getting 2x Ocean Revive LED lights. Thanks,
