If you notice that the green bubble has a small frag of it next to the bigger one... I don’t know how but somehow it was fragged by something in my tank. I woke up to find that small piece separate from my mother colony. Nothing had fallen on it overnight so I honestly have no clue what happened. As you can see it is pushed on its side. I spend a lot of time uprighting that tiny piece. I need to glue it to a plug or something to help

I am running what I am sure is considered to be an unpopular setup. When I began I was way too overwhelmed with the setup and info to setup a sump. As such, I have been using hang on back equipment. It works well for me, but I will definitely have a sump in my next tank.

I have a hang on back refugium, skimmer, reactor, UV filter, and a mechanical filter that I’m pretty sure I could ditch at this point.

was a long time freshwater hobbyist and to not have a hang on filter seemed like a crime. I really don’t think it’s doing much for my tank though.

I added an Apex and Trident this year, which was expensive but so worth it

I am still currently topping off by hand, but now have a Tunze ATO to add.

anyone else using HOB equip out there?

My current issue is small, but consistent. I can’t get a darn mushroom to stick to my rock to save my life!!

this little ricordia came to me not mounted to anything. I have been rubber banding it to a rock, only to have it wiggle its way out within the next day. I just put it back tonight.

someone tell me what I am doing wrong! Lol.

Things are going fairly well other than I have a small amount of cyano that shows up every day that I cannot get rid of.

going to try dr. Tim’s refresh and waste away.
