75 Long

I have been searching around with no luck. Does anyone on here have a 75 long? I’d be interested in hearing the pros and cons as well as if you went with corner, center or dual overflows.

It’s my understanding that the 75 only comes in one size, 48 inches. I have 2. My drilled has a center overflow (just off center actually). The other is a freshwater.

I maintain a 75 long frag system for someone but it's not mine. I think that it's WAY too shallow for a display tank. If you want a frag tank then those dimensions are great! They went with center overflows. I wouldn't even bother running center overflows in a tank like that.

Being a LPS guy and enjoying fragging quite a bit I am considering it vs maintaining multiple systems. Right now I have a Red Sea Reefer 250 and a Max Nano. Quite honestly both tanks have a ton of frags and grow out plates along with the normal stocking. Understand the depth concern and have looked at a 100 long to make up for that but I am not hung on the idea of tall aquascapes.

Not buying a ton to jump into this. Tank, build the stand, 40b or 50t Sump, add a Kessil 360, and I’m there. Move everything from my 250 over (mp40, mp10, S200 4th gen skimmer, ATO, doser, Scythe 4.0 return pump, reactors) about $1k. Sell the 250, keep the Nano for a high end LPS display in the living room. Maintain one plus weekly 5gl water change on the nano for parameters.

Second option is go for a 34g deep blue frag tank and run both systems. More expensive if done correctly due to redundant items purchased $300 tank, RS Sump, $500 to conver the Reefer 250 to a good Sump, $150 to replumb the RS, AI Prime HD, 2 prime brackets, skimmer, build the stand. Sell the Max Nano less the AI Prime. Maintain 2 systems.
