So, I am in the process of setting up another 75 gallon. This time, instead of building my own stand...I purchased a standard stand.

I get all the way home with my 29 tall tank for the sump (after I baffled it) and found out the dang thing is too long to fit under the stand both from the front, back, AND into the top.

I'm thinking about cutting a brace, then replacing it once the sump is inside. It won't be very mobile but I'm curious if anyone has any ideas here? I guess I messed up big time.

But seriously.....

You can't unscrew the front-center brace or the top-brace under the tank and just screw either one back in when done?

Pine's awfully soft....if you take precautions it could work without a lot of damage. Would you be able to fab a new piece if it got mangled beyond use during staple removal? (Just make sure there's NO damage to the rest of the stand.)

Any thoughts on this @Paul B ? Just make a new stand?

Now this I could do...it's the fact that it's pine that has been worried. I'll give it a go later today and we'll see how it goes I guess!
