I moved my company back in December of 2018 to a new building. I designed the office renovation to allow me to have the tank in wall and the fish room directly beside my office in a corner of the building. I spent a lot of time planning things out and did capture some images along the way.

I ordered the tank from Derek @ Miracles Quariums in Toronto in May of 2019. Delivery was in July and it took us a few months to get things organized to move it into the fish room. The tank dimensions are 96”x42”x36” and the Bashsea sump is 48”x36”x18”.

Here is a couple of photos of the custom sump built by Bashsea. The plan Is to use the Triton Method Core 7 on this system. I am have recently reached out to them to see if they can incorporate slots into the first baffle to keep the algae in the first chamber.

Here are some pictures of the start of the piping. Sump installed under the stand. The three holes on each side of the back panel below the overflow box are for a closed loop. Each one is center suction and each side return to a loop on the inside drilled with holes and supported off the glass bottom to support the rock structure. Neptune Cor 20 pumps will be used for each closed loop.

Here is a picture of the aqua scaping. I used a combination of Real Reef dry rock and CaribSea Shapes. I used the 1.5” piping between the two bulkheads on the back wall to create a loop shelf for the rock to sit on. I used Aqua Forest cement mix once in place to fix the rock together. 200lbs of Aragalive sand was used and approx 400lbs of rock. The arch in the back is CaribSea’s 36” Mega Arch. This photo is filling with RO/DI water.

Wow I wish I could afford that one day

Beautiful. Big tank lover here. . . . really digging this one !!!

Very nice. I am currently setting up my Miracles 460 Gallon tank with a custom Bashsea sump!

Received the shipment of Atlantik V4’s from BRS. I originally ordered six for the tank but after plannino things out with the cross braces I decided having seven would work better. There is one photo for a teaser.

The back two COR 20 pumps are for the close loops and then I decided to have triple COR 20 pumps feed a 2.5” main header pipe that runs length wise and the back of the stand and distribute from there. This is about half way complete the piping. Neptune flow meters are installed on the close loop pumps. Flow meters will be installed on the branch lines from the main header. I drilled and tapped the the intake section of the close loop pumps for 1/4” valves to allow me to pipe to drain with RO tubing should I need to drain the loop downstream of the valves to remove a pump.

This is the remaining piping for the return pumps into the 2.5” header. Wye branches were used to maximize the flow from the three pumps. This header distributes water to a 1” return line drilled in the top back of each end as well as a 2” line up to the top front corner 1.5” sea swirl. Each line has a Neptune flow meter that I can see any drop in the total flow.

Please excuse my wiring on the light rack. I haven’t had a chance to tidy it up yet. Two MP60’s on each end.

That looks great. How high did you hang the Orpheks? And what program/intensity are you running?

I see fish! Let's see a shot from the front of the tank too please.
