So I built my stand and figured out my rock layout so far. I set my tank on the stand and boom I got a little carried away with the belt sander and need to fix the top of the stand. So without breaking down the stand I had a sheet of 3/4 hardwood plywood laying around that I’m going to attach to the top of the stand. I have to shim the areas I sanded to much but after some bondo work and paint no one will ever know. I’ll post more when I get to the plumbing.

Really like that your stand opens fully with no center brace in front and the rock work. No worries getting sump in working and movin around with that front opening for sure. I Will be wishin my 75 stand was like that when I uograde my sump.

Thanks. This whole build I’m keeping the future in mind. Along with ease of maintenance and repairs.

Soooo I finally finished my stand the 3/4 hardwood ply worked great. I also added a cross brace in the back so there is not chance at all of the stand shifting. I also used truck bed liner to seal and toughen up the inside of the stand. I’ll also be adding I painted panel to hold all my controllers and to secure my plumbing too. Also I had to find a new home for my tank I pulled the carpet and inspected the framing to find my tank would only be supported by a single 2x10. So I moved to the first floor where I can use the crawlspace to need up the floor under the tank. I also received my RO system today which I’ll set in the garage and pipe directly to my tanks ATO. I’ll also have a Tee in the garage for making fresh water for water changes.

@Ryeguy1284 Very impressive design and build of the stand! I love DIY stands!

@Ryeguy1284 I am very happy with 40" off the ground! It is the same height as my bar top counters so it's a clear view across the kitchen.
