75g Fresh Start!

I'

I'm loving it! 50lbs made a nice amount of rockwork. Not overcrowded, but room to add if I feel like it down the road.
I just asked for "stackable pieces" and he delivered. The islands are very stable with no glue or rods, took some doing to get shapes I liked that were stable but in the end it worked out great.

Good to hear! I was browsing the various options and based on what I read, I think Reef Cleaners is quite an attractive option. Thanks!

His customer service is excellent too. Let him know what size tank you're working with and what youre basically looking for in the comments area and he will try to accommodate. I am very satisfied with my rock purchase.

Update: Tank was able to drop 2ppm ammonia over 24hrs, but nitrites went quite high again. I know that in lower concentrations like I am seeing nitrite isnt harmful to saltwater fish, but I'm thinking Ill give it another week to be 100% certain that the tank has enough bacterial biofilm in the rock to keep everything happy. No sense rushing things if I don't have to, right?

Did a large water change today (about 50%). I checked ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate yesterday and got definite zeros for ammonia and nitrite and 20ish nitrates, maybe less (unfortunately I don't do well distinguishing shades of red against eachother).

I'll do a full battery of tests tomorrow (amm, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, cal, alk, mag) and make sure everything looks good, then my fish can finally go into their new home from the temporary tank!

Fish going in tomorrow AM! Everything looks good to me, any input?

Update:
Fish are in, a few snails and crabs, a tiny rbta (only one of the splits that came off cleanly and easily. He'll grow :) ), a rhodactis, and a small frag of pink sand dollar monti.

Everything was existing from my old 55, so hopefully they all do well. So far, everyone looks happy enough. Quite funny to watch the pair of clowns (Tom and Tallulah) try to host that tiny anemone!

On to the pics!

Also ordered an Amazon grow light for the fuge. Seems pretty legit for the price, we will see how it grows chaeto.

Sorry for all of the cell phone pics, promise I'll bust out the DSLR soon.

Another month gone by, and the tank is doing well!
Parameters are stable, chaeto and pom pom are growing like mad, lots of pods, corals are growing.
We added a second lemon chromis (my wife decided he was too cute and had to come home, so the big guy got a mini-me).
Traded a few rbta splits (kind of wishing I had worked harder to get a larger one off of my old rocks, the little one seems rather upset. Not wandering, but not a deep red anymore either) for a few zoas/palys and a green/purple euphyllia. Guy I traded to called it a hammer, but it looks like a frogspawn to me.

I also attended Reefworx locally and picked up a duncan, some montis, more zoas, and some clove polyps.

And heres an extra blue duncan pic :P
