Hey everyone, I'm planning out my 75 gallon reef. Here are my thoughts on stocking! I'd appreciate some ideas or comments on my picks!

• Kole Tang

• 2 Ocellaris Clownfish

• Black Clown Goby

• 2 - 3 Banggai Cardinals

• Pistol Shrimp Goby Pair

• Sand Sifting Blenny

• Six Line Wrasse

Here's my cleanup crew!

• 13 Red Legged Hermit Crabs

• 15 Nessarius Snails

• 1 Turbo Snail

• 10 Astrea Snails

• Serpent Sea Star

• Sand Sifting Sea Star

• Cleaner Shrimp

If you have any comments or ideas let me know! Also not sure if this tank is overstocked or understocked [emoji848] Thanks everyone!

I think you have a large clean up crew lined up for that tank....unless you plan on feeding really heavy I'd go with atleast half of your inverts. 《~~IMO

Aside from that you should be ok, maybe a bit overkill with a sand sifter goby and star fish with the nessarius snails all in there. My concern would be that the sand bed may be depleted quickly causing some of the animals to starve out.....but that's me

I think its pretty well stocked, i do agree on the cleanup crew and the sand being depleted quickly, we had a starfish that starved due to not enough food, we have a 75 and we got 8 hermits (4red 4 blue) 4 turbos 2 emerald crabs those are cool and a sand sifting starfish oh and a horseshoe crab unfortunately the horseshoe and starfish died

That stinks. I'll update it real quick:

• 4 hermits

• the two stars

• 3 astrea

• 1 turbo

• 5 Nessarius

How's that?

Sounds good, i personally wouldnt do more than one starfish thats just my opinion and from experience, but i think you'll be fine. Happy reefing!

I think I'll just keep the serpent star in my 20 gal. I'll be borrowing inverts anyways, so I guess it'll work out. Thanks everyone for your help!

Bangaiis are intolerant of their own kind, unless a bonded pr, so only get 1-2 bangaiis.

Sixline wrasses get aggressive to peaceful fish and fish added after them.

Sand sifting starfish deplete beneficial microfauna from the sand bed. Microfauna that consumes nutrients, so with a sand sifting star sand beds will hold onto PO4 and NO3.

Movinginverts between tanks can transfer parasites, like ich, rendering qt worthless, unless inverts are qt'd as well.

Upon further research I've decided on just a pair of banggais.

I quarantined all of my inverts so hopefully it won't be an issue.

I already have the starfish in my 20g and it's been doing fine, so I think I'll keep it. If problems come up then I'll definitely take it out!
