I have a 75 gallon tank + sump. I went to my LFS today to have my chemistry re-checked (I tested them at home too). They were surprised of how much I’m dosing my tank daily and just maintaining my levels (Ca-410 and alk-9.8) for a 1 week interval.

80 ml for calcium
60 ml for alkalinity

Mg is staying at 1400 and I haven’t added any Mg for a week.

Is it normal to dose this high using the BRS solution without raising my tank’s parameters?

I thought it was because I have a lot of coralline algea on my rocks but my LFS said it shouldn’t be that much.

The easy way to judge is dKH per day. You are only dosing 1.2 dKH per day, which is not excessive. [emoji3]
that's good to hear. Is my calcium ok as well? is there a calculator for that?
