75gal build

Thanks everyone.

Joey, I used Hydrolic Water Stop. I will have to look at the bag tonight for the brand. I did a lot of research and decided to go this route because of the fast cure and short cure process. With this product you have no PH spike. First I tried putting spray foam on egg crate and then covering it with the cement mixture. It was easier to get the shpaes I wanted but didn't cover the foam well so I tossed it. This is just cement and oyster shell over egg crate. It makes a very realistic texture. I could have spent more time and created better shapes but wanted to get the tank going. The down side is a very short work time. Maybe 5 min or so per batch.

Light fixture wiring 90% complete.

will the aluminum you used work as a heat sink? i'd like to build some custom aluminum covers when i attach my heat sinks to my sunpower.

Joey, Sorry about that. It is Quickcrete "QuickWall". It does have fiberglass fiber in it. I used a torch to burn off any sticking out after it dried.

Cory, I have read repeatedly about people using it successfully as a heat sink as long as you use fans. This is what I went with on my build. If you are using it as a frame to hold a real heat sink I would be careful. I might use it to hold a 1" wide heat sink strip but would not use it as a frame for say more than one 5"X9" heat sink.

I have been working on some safety features lately.

Super excited about this.

This is actually a double float switch. One float switch in sump to shut off skimmer after a power outage one float switch on a DIY skimmate container then a toggle switch to shut off skimmer during cleaning.

Can't wait to see what you do with your next build at your new location.

Haha wellll. The tank and inhabitants have been broken down and passed around to other members. We bought a new house and it wasn't ready for a tank so I don't have anything up presently. I have a great spot for a really big tank someday. Lots to do on the house first.
I had to leave the generator too! I was not happy.
