I've been in the hobby for almost two years. I started off with a 39 gallon bow front and upgraded to a 75gal with a 55 gal sump. I'm always trying to find ways to make my system better.

20170728_212721.jpg Update: here's the tank currently. I got a a360we and two a360n. I want to go to all n's or all w's but one step at a time :)

If I were you, I'd retest my phosphates with more reliable test kit (Hanna Phosphorus). It's very simple, PO4 = GHA.

Thank you for your opinion. At this point, i didn't make my first thread on this site to be told how wrong everything I'm doing is. I was introducing myself. It is nice to meet you. If i have questions ill be sure to post them in the corresponding forum :)

Nice tank, what are your nitrates? how long has the 75 been setup and how large is the clean up crew?

We all need a little phosphates and nitrites in our system to grow corals Po4 around a trace to .02 and nitrates from 3 to 5 ppm. Are you doing anything such as Ca, Mg, Alk, trace elements?

Welcome to R2R

Keep up the good work. 75 gallon is a great tank to have.

Thank you. I hope to one day get a bigger tank, but I'm loving this one right now

I look forward to your progress.

Here's an updated shot. I've been working on my algae problem, and i think I'm starting to win. Still not perfect, but one day at a time :) 15007558688311819064384.jpg
Look better than my tank!! Great news.

Looks great for a starting out tank! What fish do you have in it?
Thanks! I have 2 clowns, yellow watchman goby, 2 azure(?) damsels, and 2 captive bred cardinal fish. I feel like I'm forgetting one though, haha. Not very heavily stocked, spending most of my money on coral and equipment. Recently set up a frag/ quarintine tank

Quick update. Recently came across a decent deal on a radion xr30 pro without the tank mount, so i put the diy spirit to work! 20170911_093744.jpg
I welded angle iron together to make this new light mount. I will be able to hide all the wires on the frame, just ran out of time last night.
