76 Days Fallow not enough?

Hi So I have a mature 140 gallon reef tank mostly sps dominant. Basically what I'm asking is I had all of my fish have ich and then i ran the tank fallow for 90 days before adding all of the fish back in....and low and behold....all of the fish that were clean and ich free in QT got ich when they went back in the main tank. Any tips on how to make sure if I go through this again i'm not just doing it for no reason?

That's so frustrating. 3 months is a looooong time to have fish in quarantine to find out that it did nothing. There are a lot of reasons why that might have happened but I'd recommend reading HumbleFish's article Why a fallow period will sometimes fail.
