8-9 weeks in - Algea

good day!

I just wanted to some feedback on the progression of my tank.

At this time I have orange/brown algea starting up.

My lighting schedule is about 12 hours per day using ATI coral plus and Aticnic quad hood, 2 on 6 hours, 2 on 6 hours, and blue LED 12 hours.

I figured I would get algea, but thought it would be green (I’m also green to marine tanks).

Does anything eat this type of algea that could get it in check or do I need to change my lighting schedule?

Perfectly normal. You're going to see a bunch of different colors as the tank matures. Green, purple, red, orange. All apart of the tanks growing up Great looking tank by the way!

That is probably diatoms, they almost always come in new tanks. Most herbivores will eat those.
