Hey guys- I've got a 30 gallon tank with close to 2k into it. My electric company is doing maintenance tonight from 1 am to 9 am and is shutting off power. I bought a generator but its sooo loud and I live in the middle of the city with lots of neighbors. How bad would it be if I don't run the generator and the tank goes without power for 8 hours. I'm actually out of town tonight too and the roommate would have to get the generator going. Thoughts??

A pet store like petco or pet smart would probably have them. They usually run out when there is an approaching storm like a hurricane but u should be able to find one. If not try a bait store. They sell them to keep live bait in buckets while fishing. No one ever thinks of those places

iv always kept a small power inverter around, & if i dont have a battery i run a power cord in the window with it running off my car. gas may be high, but we all have way too much $ in these tanks

If you are looking for a battery powers air pump you will find them in sporting goods stores and also Walmart in the fishing section. They are commonly used to keep live bait such as minnows or shrimp alive.

Thanks guys - hoping target has one - heading there now.
