So a while back I grabbed a female 8 line flashed wrasse. Is this a wrasse that changes to male? I can't ever remember which wrasses change sex and which ones don't.

All wrasses change gender, some more readily than others. Flasher and fairy wrasses are eager to transition.

I know not all leopards do. There's types that are more common I thought.
Biologically all wrasses are sequential protogynous hermaphrodites. They start neuter, transition to female, then transition to male.

Flashers, fairies, and Halichoeres readily and quickly transition in aquaria. Anampses and Macropharyngodon will transition, but are less 'ready' to transition in captivity.

That's the info I was hoping to hear. Thanks!
