I’m pretty sure this nice yellow is only seen in “Super” males. I think most of them have solid red fins and the yellow/orange body with blue lines running down it.Hello, I just wanted to ask has anyone kept an eight line flasher wrasse that ever got a nice yellow like this?

I think either @Crabby48 or @Tcook has one and may be able to help with the colouration and behaviour of this fish.Yea ive only seen 8 lines (Paracheilinus octotaenia) that have looked like this. Which is why im curious if anyone has actually seen or own one that has formed the beautiful yellow and red.

You probably got it correct. I could see a super male colors being more yellow.I’m pretty sure this nice yellow is only seen in “Super” males. I think most of them have solid red fins and the yellow/orange body with blue lines running down it.
I don't have one either. I was watching that 8 line on Reef Pro every day for about 2 weeks but didn't pull the trigger. I saw too many bland ones online. Besides, I got one of their hooded flames instead after I lost mine.Don’t own one but may add one. Ones I see are more orange then yellow. I believe the photo colors are little enhanced.

I was going to get one also but was waiting for other fish and missed out. They will have more in a couple weeks.I don't have one either. I also got another wrasse that I lost a year ago. Will reveal it when I see it again![]()
