Hello I recently bought this 8-line flasher wrasse, he seemed to be doing fine, swimming around eating. But now he just hides, when I throw in some food hell eat aggressively then go back to hiding. He has rapid breathing but is covered in white spots. My guess its velvet but I'm not completely sure. I don't currently have copper power. I can call my lfs tomorrow and find out if they have it, I do have cupramine but I read its not reccomended for wrasses. What should I do, how long does he have before he kicks the bucket?

This is ich and requires quick treatment
Run it in quarantine with coppersafe at 2.25 at 79 deg and add oxygen during treatment
Have a reliable copper test kit available to monitor copper levels and no API brand either

+1 looks like ich. Copper power (preferred) 2.25ppm - 2.50ppm or cupramine @ .50ppm and use hanna checker to test accurately. Copper power is less harsh and has a larger range of therapeutic level. It is best to raise the copper level over a 2-3 days depending on how bad off the fish is.

Yep - either ich or velvet, you need to dose with copper. I use coppersafe at 2.5 ppm measured with a good test kit or the hanna checker. Speed is pretty important here, you want to get the copper in there by tomorrow.
