80/20 idea for metal halide pendants

Anyone have idea for two metal halide pendants using 80/20

Don’t understand. Mount the MH in a 80/20 structure or at the end of 80/20 piece?

I want to use 80/20 to hang from ceiling , and mount metal halides on them?

The fixtures are not level when hanging on their own from ceiling

the wires cause imbalance

i guess they are ok hanging from the wire but i know they look alot sleeker with the 80/20

80/20 would work but the tricky part will be mounting them to the MH fixtures. What shape are they? If square or rectangle should be able to mount easily. Domes might be a problem.

It's easier than you think if you have some tools and some imagination. I hung my fixture using some aluminum bar, cap screws, and the t-nuts for the profile.

Yours look like a single rectangular fixture which would seem to be pretty easy to mount to a 80/20 bar. His are pendants and so the shape could be more problematic. Square or rectangular probably not an issue. Dome shaped would require a bit more creativity.

Yep, you just have to get really creative and repurpose potentially unconventional parts.

I was able to make some bracket mounts for my AP9Xs using 80/20 track sliders, tripod heads and some mending plates.

Yep, can certainly be done with some ingenuity. I have 7 Radions mounted to an 80/20 rack which I can raise and lower via a tubular shade motor from my phone. Makes getting into the tank to do maintenance, add frags, stir sand much easier without having the lights in the way.

How did you hang yours coming from the back and not the ceiling .

I have multiple pics in my build thread of how I set mine up with 80/20. I built a frame and then put 2 tracks down the middle and hung the pendants with screws that just slid into the track

My aquarium is against the wall. How far does that wall brace need to go down

The wall bar goes down to the floorboard and is anchored to the wall at 3 points. The light bar is also cantilevered to the wall.
